Matrox DV-AVI File Repair Application 1.00

Description:

This application is a tool to repair damaged AVI video files which uses DV format. It repairs the files by salvaging the data and creates a new file which has extension name of DV (eg. MyVideo.dv). The AVI file will not be reconstructed and is not modified. The DV file is a standard video format that is supported and can be opened by video editor or player applications which support the DV format. Such applications can be Adobe Premiere, Ulead Video Studio or Apple QuickTime Movie Player. Although this application is specifically designed to repair Matrox DV-AVI files (Matrox's DV-AVI format), it may also repairs Microsoft's DV-AVI files. Except Matrox's, some DV-AVI files do not pack the audio stream inside the video stream. In this case, the application will create a WAV file for the salvaged audio data (eg. MyVideo.wav). The original DV-AVI file's audio stream must be present and its format must be: Uncompressed 16-bit 48000Hz PCM. The application can not repair DV-AVI files which has no audio.
