CARTHAGO Groupware 2005 is a application server for MS Windows platforms to manage email, contacts, groups, appointments and tasks using a standard web browser. Through a regular webserver, you have access to your personal data from everywhere in the worldwide internet. All data is stored in a SQL database and is available very fast. Each user has his personal address book and appointment calendar. Existing MS Outlook or Outlook Express contacts can be imported easily with the build-in import feature. Special groupware features allow multiple users inside the domain to share contacts and appointments. Received messages can be clearly arranged with message folders. Each user can decide from which originators he wants to receive messages using his personal anti spam list. A build-in auto responder responds to incoming messages with predefined text templates. CARTHAGO supports international domain names (IDN) and is thus also suitable for email addresses with special characters, without the need of a special conversion tool. Layout and language of the user interface can selected by each user himself. System administrators can change server settings, edit domain and user accounts and view active sessions using the web based configuration menu. A detailed event log shows information about all user activities. CARTHAGO Groupware 2005 contains a ISAPI interface and can be integrated in almost every webserver with ISAPI support. The open database interface allows the usage of different kinds of database systems to store the data. CARTHAGO Groupware 2005 ist ein Anwendungsserver für Windows Plattformen zur Verwaltung von E-Mail, Kontakten, Gruppen, Terminen und Aufgaben mit einem handelsüblichen Browser. Über einen standardmäßigen Webserver ist damit der Zugriff auf persönliche Daten von jedem Ort im weltweiten Internet möglich. Sämtliche Daten werden in einer SQL-Datenbank gespeichert und sind somit schnell verfügbar. Jeder Benutzer verfügt über sein persönliches Adressbuch und Terminkalender. Vorhandene Adressen aus MS Outlook oder Outlook Express können auf einfache Weise importiert werden. Mit Hilfe von Groupware Funktionen können Kontakte und Termine von mehreren Anwendern innerhalb der Domäne bearbeitet werden. Empfangene Nachrichten können mit Hilfe von Ordnern übersichtlich verwaltet werden. Über persönliche Anti-Spam Listen kann jeder Benutzer festlegen, von welchen Absendern E-Mail's für ihn akzeptiert werden sollen. Eine eingebaute Auto-Responder Funktion versendet vorgefertigte Antworten, wie z.B. Urlaubsnachrichten. CARTHAGO unterstützt internationale Domänen Namen (IDN) und ist somit auch geeignet für Email Adressen mit Sonderzeichen, ohne dass zusätzliche Konvertierungsprogramme benötigt werden. Layout und Sprache der Benutzer-Oberfläche können von jedem Anwender frei gewählt werden. System-Administratoren können über das Konfigurationsmenü Benutzereinstellugnen vornehmen, Domänen und Benutzerkonten verwalten, sowie die aktiven Sitzungen einsehen. Ein detailliertes Ereigniss Protokoll zeigt Informationen über diie Zugriffe der Benutzer. CARTHAGO Groupware 2005 wird üner eine ISAPI-Schnittstelle angesteuert und kann somit in fast jeden handelsüblichen Webserver integriert werden. Die offene Datenbankschnittstelle erlaubt die Verwendung unterschiedlicher Datenbanksysteme zum Speichern der Daten.
